LIGHTHOUSES is a professional training programme carried by seven organisations (ACCES, Court Circuit, Club Circuit, Dansk Live, FEDELIMA, Live DMA, and VNPF). During this project six seminars of good practices and experiences exchanges will be organised during 2 years.
The audiences we defined are artistic professionals: bookers – responsible of the musical program content-, artistic directors and communication managers.
One of the aims is to identify the skills and abilities needed in artistic professions on the european scale, this project also aims to answer to the following questions: what will be the role and function of our venues and our occupations in 5 years? How do our business models have to evolve, and how do we deal with the evolution of our sector?
All results from Lighthouses are available here!
The quality label aims to evaluate and recognise the skills and abilities needed to work as booker, artistic director, or communication manager in a live music venue or festival. The quality label is not an exhaustive document, it focuses on the informal learning based on ground experience, and reflects the professional habits from Lighthouses participants.
Live DMA is an umbrella association made up of 7 national networks of venues and festivals. Six of those are involved in this project. Live DMA will function as the coordinator of this project. Live DMA represents 769 venues and festivals in Europe.
